Business Development Manager

About the role

Orona Limited is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to drive new business across the South West and South East of England. This field‑based sales position focuses on generating leads, securing lift service maintenance contracts, and building long‑term customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new customers through cold calling, networking and lead generation activities.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed annual targets.
• Identify and secure lift service maintenance contracts within the assigned territory.
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits and presentations to showcase Orona’s solutions.
• Prepare competitive quotations, proposals and tender responses.
• Lead negotiations and close new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional service teams for seamless handover of new accounts.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to uncover new opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven track record of winning new business in a target‑driven B2B sales environment.
• Comfortable with outbound prospecting, cold calling and lead generation.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to influence decision‑makers at all levels.
• Experience in the lift industry, construction or technical sales is a plus.
