Business Development Manager

About the role

We are partnering with an institutionally‑backed specialist lender to recruit a Business Development Manager for its growing London team. The business focuses on short‑term, complex and high‑value lending across the UK and Europe, including bridging, commercial mortgages and bespoke finance solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced BDM or originator with a strong broker network who wants to expand the lender’s pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, intermediaries and introducers to generate new lending opportunities.
• Originate and manage a pipeline of specialist finance deals across bridging, commercial mortgages and complex lending solutions.
• Identify, assess and structure opportunities in collaboration with internal credit and deal teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact for brokers throughout the transaction lifecycle, ensuring high service standards.
• Attend broker meetings, networking events and industry functions to strengthen market presence.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on pipeline activity and market feedback.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and sector developments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development within specialist finance, bridging, commercial mortgages or property lending.
• Strong broker and intermediary network within the specialist lending market.
• Good understanding of borrower requirements and lending criteria.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary up to £50,000 with OTE potential of £100,000‑£150,000.
• Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 9 am‑6 pm schedule.
