Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to grow the adoption of our Rent Protection Insurance among existing letting agents. The role is hybrid, based in Lincoln with occasional travel to London and Sheffield, and focuses on up‑selling and cross‑selling within a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with current customers to identify how to use the Rent Protection Insurance product more effectively.
• Train and develop our agent base to increase product usage and grow the overall insurance book.
• Collaborate with the wider insurance and account management teams to uncover further sales opportunities.
• Meet sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction and adhering to regulated processes.
• Continuously improve personal sales skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Proven success in closing B2B sales, including up‑selling and cross‑selling.
• Experience in the lettings industry, preferably at senior negotiator or branch manager level.
• Ability to quickly build rapport and trust with customers over the phone and face‑to‑face.
• Target‑driven mentality with resilience under pressure.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced setting.
