Business Development Manager (JOSCAR)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition within the aerospace, defence and security sectors, focusing on organisations accredited under the JOSCAR framework. You will act as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, positioning Red King Resourcing as a trusted recruitment partner in highly regulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage and win new business from JOSCAR‑registered companies and suppliers.
• Build and nurture client relationships from initial contact through to successful placement.
• Collaborate with internal recruitment teams to ensure seamless delivery of vetted, security‑cleared talent.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal development and contract negotiation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends, competitor activity and client needs within aerospace, defence and security.

Required profile

• Proven business development experience within a recruitment agency.
• Demonstrated success selling both contract and permanent recruitment services.
• Strong understanding of the UK defence and security sectors and associated security clearances (BPSS, SC, DV).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, self‑motivated and target‑driven.
