Business Development Manager – Legal Services

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for a leading law firm specialising in real estate. Working closely with the head of department, you will identify new opportunities, build relationships and secure revenue from mid‑market and global organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the real‑estate sector.
• Arrange and lead introductory meetings with prospective clients and referral partners.
• Collaborate with fee earners during negotiation to secure new revenue streams.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients and referrers.
• Analyse departmental BD data to highlight growth areas and improve performance.
• Manage CRM records accurately and ensure up‑to‑date documentation.
• Research and attend key sector events for networking.
• Train partners and fee earners on lead generation and relationship management.
• Work with Marketing and the BD head to produce up‑to‑date brochures and pitch materials.

Required profile

• Solid knowledge of real‑estate law and legal services.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Proven track record of at least five years in business development within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Adaptable, results‑oriented and comfortable in a target‑driven setting.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Proficiency with IT tools and social media platforms.
