Business Development Manager – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a senior B2B relationship‑builder to join our busy Manchester office. You will work directly with Partners across multiple practice areas, helping to grow the firm’s pipeline through high‑quality introductions and relationship‑led development.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of B2B opportunities using your network and targeted outreach.
• Create introductions and arrange meetings for Partners and senior stakeholders.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities across practice areas and facilitate collaboration on shared clients.
• Support Partners with follow‑up activity, ensuring opportunities progress and next steps are clear.
• Help shape and deliver business‑development initiatives in the Manchester market, including events and networking.
• Track activity and outcomes to provide visibility on what works and where to focus.

Required profile

• Proven senior B2B relationship‑led business‑development experience with a wide network.
• Comfort operating with senior stakeholders and influencing at Partner level.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to spot and qualify opportunities.
• Confident communicator who can quickly build trust and represent the firm professionally.
• Organised, consistent with follow‑up and practical in turning conversations into work.
• Interest in professional services and ability to learn the firm’s service lines.
