Business Development Manager – Property & Casualty

About the role

IPS Group is partnering with an award‑winning MGA and Lloyd’s coverholder to recruit a Business Development Manager for the South West region. This hybrid, home‑based position focuses on expanding broker relationships and driving portfolio growth within the Property & Casualty market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage SME Commercial Combined business, especially food, hospitality and leisure accounts.
• Use broker performance data to generate new submissions, improve conversion rates and shape broker development strategies.
• Engage national and regional brokers, review portfolio performance and propose enhancements to the distribution strategy.
• Collaborate closely with underwriting, marketing, claims and data teams to support the growth of a large book of business.

Required profile

• Prior experience with an MGA and a fast‑paced commercial mindset.
• Proven track record in analytics, negotiation, broker development and achieving growth targets.
• Strong communication and relationship‑management abilities, with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Experience with e‑trade platforms and SME commercial lines is highly advantageous.
