Business Development Manager – Skills Bootcamps

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead employer engagement for DfE‑funded Skills Bootcamps across the West of England. You will own the regional market, build a verified network of employers and ensure graduates secure interview and placement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow a verified employer network in Bristol, Bath and the wider West of England.
• Secure commitments from employers to interview and hire Skills Bootcamp graduates.
• Generate new business and nurture relationships with LEPs, chambers of commerce and regional growth bodies.
• Represent the organisation at regional events, industry forums and networking meetings.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to align employer demand with programme provision.
• Track performance against KPIs for employer sign‑ups and learner outcomes.
• Provide market intelligence and employer evidence for tender bids.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development for Skills Bootcamps or similar digital learning programmes.
• Existing network of employers across Bristol, Bath or the wider West of England.
• Ability to work autonomously, own a geography and hit targets without close supervision.
• Familiarity with tender‑led, publicly funded delivery environments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the Skills Bootcamps ecosystem and employer engagement processes.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships with local enterprise partnerships and chambers of commerce.
