Business Development Manager – South West Territory

About the role

We are seeking three Business Development Managers to drive growth across the South West for a leading UK food‑service distribution business. You will work closely with clients in the FMCG sector, identifying new opportunities and building lasting partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and convert new free‑trade customers.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and meet annual new‑business targets.
• Manage structured onboarding to ensure long‑term customer retention.
• Collaborate with Sales Centres to embed and expand new accounts.
• Develop and execute a data‑driven territory growth plan.

Required profile

• Proven business‑development experience, preferably within FMCG or B2B distribution.
• Strong prospecting discipline and pipeline management.
• Confidence in negotiating and closing at decision‑maker level.
• Results‑driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the South West.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive base salary £46,000 – £47,000 per year plus OTE up to £75,000.
