Business Development Manager – Sponsorship & Data Sales

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sponsorship and data product sales for our client’s global events. The role combines high‑value sponsorship packages with licensed data solutions, targeting the insurance sector worldwide. You will work from our London office in a hybrid model, travelling internationally for key client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new sponsorship deals across global events and data product licences.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior decision‑makers in the insurance and related industries.
• Collaborate with internal marketing and data teams to create compelling proposals and packages.
• Negotiate contract terms and ensure delivery of agreed‑upon deliverables.
• Track pipeline, forecast revenue and report performance against targets.
• Represent the company on 2‑4 international trips per year to locations such as Bermuda, Vermont, Cayman Islands and Chicago.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in event sponsorship, exhibition sales, data sales or broader media sales.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Highly organised with strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent emotional intelligence and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Consultative sales approach with a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
• Team‑player committed to collective success.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary £45,000‑£55,000 per year plus uncapped commission.
