Business Development Manager – Travel Trade (UK)

About the role

A forward‑thinking adventure travel company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead trade sales across the central UK region. You will be the face of the brand, building relationships with travel agencies and partners while driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with travel agencies, vendors, tourist offices, airlines and media across the central UK region.
• Represent the company at agency visits and events, travelling at least three days per week.
• Support the National Sales Manager in driving sales growth, creating new business and implementing strategic initiatives.
• Achieve revenue, budgetary and KPI targets set for the trade sales function.
• Deliver training sessions, both in‑person and online, for partners and internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven business development or road‑sales experience within the travel industry.
• Track record of account development with independent travel agencies preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the UK travel market, particularly the regions covered (South Wales, Gloucestershire, East Midlands, East Anglia).
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle for regular travel.
