Business Development Representative (London)

About the role

Flatpay, a fast‑growing European fintech, is expanding its UK team and is looking for a Business Development Representative to join its London office. You will be the first point of contact with merchants, generating interest in Flatpay’s payment solutions and setting the stage for deeper sales conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound cold calls to prospective merchants and spark interest in Flatpay.
• Qualify leads and schedule on‑site meetings for senior Sales Managers.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in the CRM, logging all activities and outcomes.
• Iterate outreach scripts and tactics based on performance data and coaching.
• Provide feedback on merchant responses, competitor activity and pitch effectiveness.

Required profile

• High energy, persistence and a positive attitude toward cold outreach.
• Strong verbal and written persuasion skills with the ability to build quick rapport.
• Metrics‑driven mindset, comfortable working toward daily and weekly targets.
• Receptive to feedback and eager to learn sales best practices.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively and stay organised in a fast‑paced environment.
• 1‑2 years of customer‑facing experience (e.g., support, retail, hospitality).
• Fluent English and right to work in the UK.

• CRM usage (maintaining clean data and activity logs).
