Business Development Representative (SaaS Payments)

About the role

We are looking for a smart, ambitious and autonomous Business Development Representative to help fuel Paddle’s next stage of hyper‑growth. You will be the first point of contact for our sales efforts, creating demand and building early relationships that turn into qualified pipeline for our Account Executives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Paddle’s Ideal Customer Profile, core use cases and value propositions.
• Own and manage a healthy territory of high‑fit accounts, generating conversations across LinkedIn, cold calling, email, video and region‑specific channels.
• Convert engagements into qualified opportunities for the Account Executive team.
• Partner with Marketing to support in‑person and virtual events that generate demand.
• Leverage modern, AI‑powered tools to personalise outreach and improve performance.
• Prioritise time and activities to consistently meet and exceed targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a SaaS or B2B sales/business development role.
• Coachability, accountability and consistency in developing knowledge and results.
• Consultative, human‑focused sales approach.
• Performance‑driven, competitive and motivated by exceeding targets.
• Ability to stay organised in a fast‑changing, ambiguous environment.
• Willingness to experiment, innovate and continuously improve your craft.
• Strong communication skills across phone, email, video and social channels.
• Enthusiastic, ambitious and eager to build a career in sales.
