Business Development Sales Manager

About the role

Reed Insurance is seeking a Business Development Sales Manager to drive new business sales for its Trade Credit Insurance division. The role focuses on the Midlands region while operating remotely from the UK, supporting national growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver new business sales to meet individual and team targets.
• Collaborate with the Commercial Department to ensure prudent underwriting of credit insurance business.
• Generate leads and build awareness of credit insurance in the allocated geographic area.
• Identify opportunities across all product lines and convert internal leads into profitable business.
• Develop a network of introducers and general insurance brokers to source new business.
• Work closely with underwriting, marketing and client services to manage leads and provide timely service.

Required profile

• Degree (2:1) in Finance, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience; experience in Trade Credit Insurance is desirable.
• Self‑motivated, autonomous and able to work independently.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Understanding of compliance in a regulated environment.
