Business Manager – Automotive Sales & Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead the sales and finance operations of a reputable car dealership in Chelmsford. You will be responsible for delivering an outstanding customer journey while driving vehicle sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to maximise vehicle sales.
• Collaborate with sales specialists and external partners to optimise sales opportunities.
• Provide expert financial guidance to help customers choose suitable finance solutions.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, industry standards and credit regulations.
• Lead, motivate and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of automotive finance products and credit options.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Manager or similar role within the motor trade.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of automotive sales processes, compliance regulations and industry standards.

What we offer

• Basic salary of £30,000 per annum with OTE up to £100,000 including bonuses and commissions.
