Business & Partnerships Officer

About the role

The Business & Partnerships Officer will join the Sustainable Communities team to build and nurture relationships with local employers. This role is central to securing employment, training and work‑placement opportunities for community members, supporting the charity’s mission to create resilient, healthy and prosperous neighbourhoods.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage key employer and partner relationships.
• Maintain employer engagement data and reporting.
• Engage with employer coalitions, chambers of commerce and representative bodies.
• Design and deliver employer programmes and engagement activities.
• Broker work experience and supported‑employment placements for programme participants.
• Collaborate with the Sustainable Communities Employment & Skills team to align candidate development routes with labour‑market opportunities.
• Support recruitment processes by leveraging employer knowledge to maximise client placements.
• Assist in delivering new and existing projects that further organisational employment objectives.
• Build links with statutory and non‑statutory organisations and understand local business needs.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Proven track record of employer engagement and relationship management with measurable results.
