Business Services Director or Partner

About the role

The firm, a multi‑office regional chartered accountancy practice based in Bristol, is seeking a Business Services Director or Partner to lead and grow its accounts, tax and related business services lines. The role will sit on the senior leadership team and will have the opportunity to shape the office’s future direction, including business development and team expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of OMB, SME and limited‑company clients up to audit threshold.
• Drive business development initiatives to grow the accounts and tax practice.
• Recruit, develop and manage a team of accountants and tax specialists.
• Oversee audit, accounts and tax engagements ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to the firm’s strategic planning and long‑term organic growth.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent qualification.
• Significant experience at Director or Partner level within a UK accountancy practice, either in a small independent firm or a top‑tier practice.
• Proven track record in audit, accounts and tax service delivery.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to generate new client business.
• Experience managing and developing professional teams.
