Business Studies Teacher – Level 2 & 3

About the role

Keighley College is looking for an enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to deliver engaging lessons for Level 2 and Level 3 programmes. You will inspire learners to understand real‑world business operations and support their progression into further study, apprenticeships, or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality Business Studies lessons across core topics such as marketing, finance, operations, HR and enterprise.
• Prepare, mark, assess and moderate student work within agreed timescales.
• Provide tailored support to individual learners to ensure successful completion of units.
• Contribute to departmental collaboration, sharing best practice and developing teaching resources.
• Support pastoral care and personal development, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Engage in continuous professional development, including the use of new technologies to enhance learning.

Required profile

• Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE) and a relevant vocational qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies, covering marketing, finance, operations, HR and enterprise.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver challenging, engaging lessons and track learner progress.
• Reflective practitioner with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
