About the role
The Business Support Administrator will provide essential administrative and coordination support for a Skills England project based in Preston. Working part‑time, you will act as the first point of contact for employers, training providers and other stakeholders, helping to deliver the Local Skills Improvement Plan.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, working groups and collaborative sessions with project participants.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders via phone, email, video call and face‑to‑face.
- Provide secretarial and administrative assistance, including minute taking, document preparation and record keeping.
- Support engagement activities by following up leads and involving relevant parties.
- Assist in organising events and workshops related to the skills improvement initiative.
Required profile
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Experience in similar administrative or business support roles is desirable.

What we offer
- £25,000 per annum pro‑rata salary.
- Permanent part‑time contract (15 hours per week, Monday and Friday).
