Business Systems Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Business Systems Architect to lead the design and governance of cloud‑based ERP solutions for a fast‑moving FMCG organisation. Working closely with business leaders and IT teams, you will ensure technology aligns with strategy and drives operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture and roadmap for the ERP system and related business applications.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, supportable solution designs.
• Lead solution design workshops and provide architectural governance across projects.
• Define integration architecture between the ERP platform and surrounding systems using APIs and middleware.
• Partner with delivery teams, third‑party suppliers and business stakeholders to deliver change.
• Maintain architecture documentation, standards and technology roadmaps.
• Support continuous improvement and future ERP capability development.

Required profile

• Significant experience in Business Systems, Solution or Enterprise Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of cloud‑based ERP systems.
• Proven experience designing enterprise integrations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within large transformation programmes.

Required skills

• Cloud ERP platforms (e.g., IFS Cloud, Oracle Cloud)
• API design and middleware integration
• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification
• Power BI, Oracle Integration Cloud, Azure Integration Services
• Agile delivery methodologies
