Business Systems Lead

About the role

Our client, a leading engineering company specialising in precision machining, is seeking a Business Systems Lead to drive operational excellence across commercial, manufacturing and supply‑chain functions. The role will focus on strategic planning, project delivery and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, productivity and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a site‑specific Lean transformation roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.
• Improve core value drivers and KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, growth and people development.
• Lead NPI throughput acceleration and support business growth targets.
• Facilitate shop‑floor workflow analysis, standard‑work creation and implementation.
• Coordinate monthly strategic deployment activities, Annual Improvement Priorities and KPI tracking.
• Coach leaders on Lean daily‑management practices and drive associate participation in improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous‑improvement methodologies within an engineering or precision‑machining environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and facilitation skills.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and comfortable leading change.
