Buyer – 12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports a well‑established business in Crawley while covering maternity leave. The role sits within a fast‑paced purchasing environment, focusing on inventory management, forecasting and supplier coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels to maximise stock availability and minimise shortages.
• Analyse sales trends and forecasts to inform purchasing decisions.
• Raise purchase orders and oversee supplier deliveries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Support new product launches and lifecycle management activities.
• Monitor inbound shipments and proactively resolve supply‑chain issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in purchasing, inventory planning or supply‑chain roles.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities, comfortable handling multiple priorities.
• Experience within a distribution, wholesale or B2B environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Power BI (advantageous).
