Buyer – Procurement for Sizewell C Nuclear Project

About the role

The Buyer will support the Geotechnical Sub Alliance (GSA) in delivering the Sizewell C nuclear power station by securing materials, equipment and services for complex ground‑engineering works. Working in an alliance environment, you will manage procurement from supplier engagement through to contract award and ongoing supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing strategy, tendering, award and supplier management.
• Run RFIs, RFQs and ITTs using e‑procurement tools such as Jaggaer.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with project governance and quality standards.
• Monitor market trends to identify risks, opportunities and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with project, technical and operational teams to deliver value‑adding procurement services.

Required profile

• Proven experience across the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, tendering and supplier management.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability to review quotes and cost data.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proactive, solution‑focused mindset.
• Desirable: experience in construction, civil or engineering supply chains; familiarity with SAP or Jaggaer; CIPS qualification or willingness to obtain.
