Buyer – Skincare Category

About the role

The Buyer will join Superdrug's Head Office skincare team, focusing on the Expert Skin and Body categories. You will be responsible for selecting products, managing supplier relationships, and driving sales and profit for high‑profile beauty brands.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver category plans, including range reviews, promotions, pricing and stock, aligned with commercial strategy.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create and implement promotional plans that comply with legislation and brand guidelines.
• Analyse promotion effectiveness, take corrective actions, and share best practices.
• Work with the Own Brand team to launch and manage own‑brand ranges.
• Partner with Merchandising to ensure the right range is available in stores and control slow‑moving stock.
• Identify and implement new product opportunities that are competitive in the market.

Required profile

• Proven background in buying, preferably within retail beauty or health sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market trends.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently and with initiative.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and developing strategic plans.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
