Buying & Purchasing Assistant – Design‑Led Interiors Brand

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Buying & Purchasing Assistant to join a small, design‑focused interiors brand in London. You will support the buying team by managing purchase orders, tracking supplier intake and maintaining component stock across our supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and obtain sign‑off for purchase orders and create work orders to reflect incoming stock.
• Monitor supplier intake, ensure timely delivery of purchase orders and keep suppliers stocked.
• Maintain accurate landed cost, FIFO pricing and product data in the ERP system.
• Track supplier schedules, prepare weekly scheduling meetings and flag risks.
• Process supplier invoices, resolve discrepancies with finance.
• Support inventory visibility across key locations and assist sales, operations and logistics teams.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in purchasing, buying or merchandising, dealing directly with suppliers or factories.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
