C# Developer

About the role

Our client, a manufacturing business in Birmingham, is seeking a C# Developer for an initial 12‑month fixed‑term contract with a strong possibility of extension or permanent placement. The role operates on a hybrid model – three days in the office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop a new system to support manufacturing processes using C#.
• Collaborate with the technology team to create and implement software solutions.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues to maintain system reliability.
• Write clean, scalable code and perform thorough testing for quality assurance.
• Document development processes and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Gather and refine requirements by working closely with stakeholders.
• Monitor application performance and optimise where needed.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing with C# and the .NET framework.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of SOLID principles and ability to follow design patterns.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and communicate with cross‑functional teams.
