C++ Software Engineer – Core Development

About the role

We are seeking a pragmatic C++ Software Engineer to join the Core Development team of a leading global high‑frequency trading firm. You will work on the algorithmic trading platform, designing, building and testing the infrastructure, tools and systems that power our trading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain low‑latency, high‑throughput C++ components on Linux.
• Collaborate with traders, quant researchers and technologists to solve complex technical challenges spanning CPU architecture, operating systems, networking and hardware.
• Implement performance‑critical features, optimise code paths and ensure reliability of production systems.
• Provide tooling and support for cross‑platform, multithreaded applications used across the firm.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of modern C++ development experience on Linux.
• Strong understanding of computer systems, including operating systems, networking and performance optimisation.
• Deep knowledge of object‑oriented design and multithreaded programming.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Not a fresh graduate; proven ability to deliver production‑grade software.
