Cabling Engineer – Temporary Full‑Time in Birmingham

About the role

DCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Data Cabling Engineer for a national communications contractor in Birmingham. This is a temporary full‑time position with an immediate start, offering the chance to work on active network infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install, terminate and test data cabling on site according to industry standards.
• Maintain and utilise personal hand tools, installation and termination equipment, and power drills.
• Use SDS and impact drivers where required.
• Provide two relevant work references and right‑to‑work documentation before commencing.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS/ECS accreditation (preferred industry‑related certifications such as Datacoms, network infrastructure, or cabling installer).
• Own complete set of hand and installation tools.
• Ability to start immediately.

Required skills

• Data cabling installation and termination.
• Network infrastructure knowledge.
• Use of hand tools, SDS drivers and impact drivers.
