CAD Technician – Sheet Metal & SolidWorks

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join a well‑established supplier serving blue‑chip clients such as Tesco and New Look. You will use SolidWorks to produce detailed sheet‑metal fabrication drawings, program CNC machinery and issue drawings to major retailers. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑17:00 and Friday 8:00‑13:00.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for sheet‑metal components using SolidWorks.
• Program CNC equipment based on the generated drawings.
• Issue and distribute finished drawings to clients, ensuring compliance with their specifications.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team to resolve design issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a CAD Technician or in a similar role.
• Background in sheet‑metal fabrication and technical drawing.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks is preferred, though not mandatory.
