Café Manager – Full‑time role in Kirkby Stephen

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Café Manager to lead one of our welcoming cafés in Kirkby Stephen. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while overseeing daily operations and developing a friendly, high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall running of the café, including routines, processes and sales standards.
• Recruit, train, coach and develop team members, ensuring a motivated workforce.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment that meets legal and company standards.
• Monitor stock, ordering and waste to maximise profitability.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within hospitality or retail.
• Strong passion for customer service and people management.
• Ability to act as a role model, give feedback and adapt leadership style.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
