CAFM Systems Manager

About the role

We are supporting a leading public‑sector organisation in London to appoint an experienced CAFM Systems Manager on an interim basis. You will lead the development, optimisation and governance of a complex Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) platform across a diverse property portfolio, ensuring high‑quality asset data and statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day management of the CAFM system and associated databases.
• Design and implement system functionality, workflows and reporting capabilities.
• Maintain data integrity, governance and compliance for asset and maintenance records.
• Oversee asset data migration, validation and cleansing activities.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance programmes through effective system utilisation.
• Produce performance dashboards and management information reports.
• Collaborate with Estates, Facilities, Capital Projects and IT teams.
• Manage external CAFM providers and software vendors.
• Deliver user training and drive system adoption across stakeholder groups.
• Support statutory maintenance and asset‑management reporting.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing CAFM systems in a large, complex estates environment.
• Strong understanding of asset management, planned maintenance and statutory compliance.
• Experience within the public sector (NHS, higher education, local government) is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead system improvements, upgrades and data‑management projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CAFM platforms such as Planon, Concerto, MRI Evolution, Maximo, Planet FM or AssetWorks.
• Data migration, validation and cleansing expertise.
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills, including KPI dashboard creation.
