Campaigns Officer – 6‑month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

The Campaigns Officer will report to the Campaigns Advisor and lead the delivery of Christian Aid’s core campaigns. The role focuses on building movement capacity and mobilising supporters, especially within Black Christian, Pentecostal, Charismatic and young adult faith communities across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement movement‑building and mobilisation strategies for core campaigns.
• Create campaign materials, communications events and tools that inspire action on global justice and poverty.
• Organise and test opportunities that support churches and public audiences in delivering campaign messages.
• Maximise digital channels to reach large faith audiences and influence policy, legislative and cultural change.
• Provide resources and support to young adult Christian groups to deepen their engagement.

Required profile

• Experience in planning and delivering advocacy or campaign programmes.
• Understanding of faith‑based communities, particularly Black, Pentecostal, Charismatic and young adult groups.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment (minimum two days in office).
• Commitment to Christian Aid’s values of dignity, equality, justice and love.
