Cancer Care Pharmacist Specialist (Band 7)

About the role

The Cancer Care Pharmacist Specialist (Band 7) joins the Core Clinical Cancer Care Pharmacy Service at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. Working across solid tumour and haematological specialties, you will support patients in inpatient, day case and outpatient settings while rotating through dispensing, aseptic, bone marrow transplant and ATMP/CAR‑T services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services for solid tumour and haematological cancer patients.
• Support medication safety and effectiveness across inpatient, day case and outpatient environments.
• Rotate through dispensing and aseptic pharmacy operations at the Beatson Cancer Centre.
• Contribute to bone marrow transplant and ATMP/CAR‑T service delivery.
• Assist in developing pharmacy services through advanced clinical practice and innovation.
• Participate in service development initiatives, including Non‑Medical Prescribing and Advanced Practice roles.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with post‑registration clinical pharmacy experience.
• Knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice and patient‑centred pharmaceutical care.
• Interest or experience in oncology/haematology pharmacy.
• Willingness to develop advanced clinical skills, including Non‑Medical Prescribing.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary cancer care team.
