Capital Modelling Consultant (Igloo) – Property & Casualty

About the role

As a Capital Modelling Consultant within WTW's UK Property & Casualty Consulting Practice, you will work alongside leading actuaries and data scientists to design and deliver next‑generation capital modelling solutions. Your work will help insurers translate model outputs into strategic business decisions, reinsurance purchases and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced capital modelling tools and management information for client projects.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams across WTW to create bespoke solutions that address real client needs.
• Build trusted relationships with client contacts through clear communication and high‑quality project delivery.
• Contribute to WTW’s intellectual capital by producing thought‑leadership content, proposals and market‑ready offerings.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support internal knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a capital modelling or management role within an insurance firm or consultancy.
• Strong advocacy for the use of capital modelling in business strategy and a willingness to adopt new techniques.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments while delivering consistent results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Igloo software (preferred).
• Familiarity with major capital modelling platforms.
• Background in coding and model building.
• Strong analytical and creative problem‑solving abilities.
