Car Service Technician

About the role
We are looking for a Vehicle Service Technician to join our well‑established garage in Watford. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:30‑17:30 with alternate Saturday mornings.
Key responsibilities
- Service and repair cars and vans.
- Use computer diagnostics machines to locate faults.
- Carry out repairs based on diagnostic findings.
Required profile
- Live within commuting distance of Watford.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a car mechanic/technician, including electrics and diagnostics.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) as a minimum qualification.
- Long‑term commitment to the role.
Required skills
- Vehicle diagnostics.
- Electrical systems.
- Computer diagnostics equipment.
- MOT testing (beneficial).
- General car repair.
What we offer
- Basic salary £30,000‑£32,000 per year.
- Overtime rate 1.5× for Saturday mornings (≈£2,000 extra per year).
- On‑site parking.
- 4 % pension contribution.
- PPE and continuous manufacturer training.
- 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
