Care Assistant – Bank (Flexible Shifts)

About the role

Join Avery Healthcare’s award‑winning team at Virginia Water Care Home as a Bank Care Assistant. You will provide high‑quality personal care to residents, supporting their independence, dignity and wellbeing across a variety of shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, ensuring respect and dignity at all times.
• Monitor and recognise clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls risk and signs of infection, escalating concerns promptly.
• Maintain courteous interactions with residents, their families and visitors.
• Follow safe working practices and adhere to care home policies.

Required profile

• Demonstrates caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable values.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Initiative, respect for residents and colleagues, and ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
