Care Assistant / Care Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Care Assistants / Care Support Workers to join a purpose‑built charitable care home in Walton‑on‑Thames. You will provide person‑centred support to residents, helping them maintain independence and dignity while working within a friendly, supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Support daily living activities including meals, mobility and medication reminders.
• Monitor health status, record observations and report any concerns to senior staff.
• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care in line with care plans and regulatory standards.
• Work a variety of shifts (day, evening, night and weekend) to ensure 24‑hour coverage.

Required profile

• QCF/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a Care Certificate (minimum requirement).
• Previous experience in a care or support setting.
• A caring, compassionate attitude and a genuine passion for helping others.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy for recording care notes.
• Ability to follow care plans and health‑safety procedures.
