Care Assistant – Day Shift (Liverpool)

About the role

Consula Group is recruiting on behalf of a respected residential care organisation in Liverpool. The role is a full‑time day‑shift Care Assistant supporting older residents to live with dignity, comfort and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care while protecting dignity, privacy and independence.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and daily living activities according to individual care plans.
• Support residents at mealtimes, encouraging nutrition, hydration and meeting dietary requirements.
• Offer companionship, conversation and emotional reassurance.
• Encourage participation in activities and social occasions.
• Observe and report changes in wellbeing, mood or needs to the senior care team.
• Maintain accurate care records and hand over information clearly.
• Work collaboratively with senior carers, nurses, managers and relatives to deliver consistent, personalised care.
• Help keep the environment clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Required profile

• Kind, reliable and genuinely interested in supporting people.
• Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.
• Organised, calm and professional when supporting people with varying needs.
• Willingness to complete training and work in line with safeguarding, health and safety and care‑quality standards.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
