Care Assistant – Dementia Nursing Home

About the role

Join Immacolata House Dementia Nursing Home in Langport and provide compassionate, person‑centred care to residents living with dementia. As a Care Assistant you will help individuals maintain dignity, independence and wellbeing in a supportive, home‑like environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional support.
• Follow individual care plans and promptly report any changes in condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver consistent, high‑quality care.
• Cover alternate weekend shifts as part of the rota.

Required profile

• A caring, compassionate and respectful attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, positive outlook and willingness to learn.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards qualification.

• £13.00 per hour with enhanced overtime rates.
• 36‑hour weekly contract (full‑time temporary).
