About the role

We are looking for a kind, compassionate Care Assistant to join a luxury retirement home in Whitehaven. The position is permanent, full‑time and can be worked on either day or night shifts, offering flexible weekly hours of 36, 42 or 48.

Key responsibilities

Provide person‑centred support to 45‑50 residents, assisting with personal care, mobility, dressing and daily routines.
Support meals, hydration and overall wellbeing, promoting dignity and independence.
Encourage participation in activities and social opportunities.
Build positive relationships with residents, families and the care team.
Maintain accurate care records and collaborate closely with colleagues.

Required profile

A naturally caring, compassionate and respectful individual.
Genuine desire to support and improve residents' lives.
Willingness to learn; no prior care experience required.
