Care Assistant – Full‑time at Care Home

About the role

As a Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will help residents enjoy each day by delivering high‑quality personal care and companionship. The role is varied, rewarding and centred on supporting older adults in a safe, caring environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including feeding, drinking and personal hygiene.
• Follow individual care plans and ensure residents receive appropriate support.
• Provide one‑to‑one time and emotional companionship to promote wellbeing.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home.
• Record observations and communicate any changes in residents’ condition to senior staff.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older people.
• Can‑do attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Empathetic, warm‑hearted and compassionate approach.
