Care Assistant – Home Care Support

About the role

At Audley Care we enrich people’s lives by helping them stay independent in their own homes. As a Care Assistant you will provide a range of home‑care services, from personal care and household support to companionship, ensuring high‑quality, compassionate care that meets CQC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Visit community‑based customers daily and follow their personal care plans.
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, meals, medication administration and continence support.
• Carry out household duties such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, ironing and grocery shopping.
• Assist customers with medical appointments, prescription collection and post‑hospital support.
• Encourage independence through exercise, health‑awareness programmes and daily activities.
• Liaise with family members and respect customers’ dignity and privacy.
• Maintain full compliance with safeguarding policies and complete electronic daily logs.

Required profile

• Good written and oral English communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Knowledge of the local area and ability to prioritise time effectively.
• Adaptable, reliable and able to act as a role model for service excellence.
