Care Assistant

About the role

As a Care Assistant at our luxury care home in Sale, you will provide person‑centred support to residents living with dementia, requiring residential or respite care. You will help maintain their dignity, independence and wellbeing each day.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow individual care plans and promptly report any changes in condition.
• Support daily living activities while promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to create a warm, positive atmosphere.
• Cover alternate weekends as part of the rota.

Required profile

• Caring, compassionate and respectful attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, positive and willing to learn.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards it.

Required skills

• Basic care techniques for personal hygiene and mobility assistance.
• Ability to follow care plans and record observations.
