Care Assistant

About the role

At Mayfield Villages Care, we enrich people’s lives by helping them maintain independence at home. The Care Assistant provides a range of home‑care services, from health and wellbeing activities to housekeeping and companionship.

Key responsibilities

• Visit village and community customers daily, following their personal care plans.
• Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, mealtimes assistance, medication administration and continence support.
• Carry out household duties including cooking, laundry, vacuuming, ironing and fitness support.
• Support customers attending medical appointments, collecting prescriptions and post‑hospital care.
• Encourage independence in daily activities and liaise with family members when required.
• Maintain customers’ dignity, privacy and comply with safeguarding policies.
• Attend mandatory training to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Required profile

• Good written and oral English with a professional appearance and hygiene.
• Ability to accurately complete electronic daily logs and use the company mobile app for scheduling.
• Knowledge of the local area and a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Strong time‑management, prioritisation and adaptability to meet varied customer needs.

• Starting hourly rate of £11.34‑£12.60 depending on experience.
