Care Assistant

About the role

At Audley Care we provide home‑care services that help people maintain independence in their own homes. The Care Assistant role involves delivering personal care, household support and companionship to customers in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Visit village and community customers daily and follow their personal care plans.
• Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, mealtimes, medication administration and continence support.
• Carry out household duties including cooking, laundry, cleaning and ironing.
• Assist customers with medical appointments, prescription collection and post‑hospital support.
• Encourage independence, respect dignity and privacy, and liaise with family members when required.
• Comply with safeguarding policies, attend mandatory training and maintain accurate electronic daily logs.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Good written and oral English.
• High standard of personal presentation and uniform hygiene.
• Knowledge of the local area.
• Ability to prioritise, manage time effectively and adapt to varying customer needs.
• Commitment to act as a role model for excellent customer service.
