Care Assistant – Maternity Cover (6‑month)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Victory Care Home in Chatham on a six‑month maternity cover. This full‑time, onsite position offers the chance to support residents with daily living activities while gaining fully funded training and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily routines.
• Administer and record medication as required.
• Encourage participation in activities, hobbies and social engagement to enrich residents’ lives.
• Promote dignity, independence and well‑being through person‑centred care.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver outstanding service.

Required profile

• Kind, compassionate and motivated to help others.
• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
• Availability to work 36 hours per week, including alternating weekends.
• Previous experience in a care home is preferred.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of personal care and support tasks.
• Ability to follow medication administration procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

What we offer
