Care Assistant – Residential Care Home

About the role

HC-One is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join the team at Oakhill House in Horsham. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will help residents maintain their physical, emotional and social wellbeing in a supportive, dignity‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, hygiene and assistance with meals.
• Support residents with daily activities and encourage participation in social programmes.
• Deliver compassionate end‑of‑life care when required.
• Recognise and report any signs of abuse, neglect or harm in line with safeguarding policies.
• Attend mandatory safeguarding and role‑specific training.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high‑quality care delivery.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, caring and committed to resident wellbeing.
• Ability to follow guidance from senior nursing staff.
• Willingness to recognise and act on safeguarding concerns.
• Good communication skills and respect for each resident’s individuality.
• Flexibility to work full‑time shifts in a residential care setting.
