Care Assistant – Residential & Dementia Care

About the role
Join Buchanan Lodge Care Home in Bearsden, North Glasgow, as a Care Assistant. You will help residents live with dignity, independence and comfort in a historic yet modern setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care, mobility assistance, nutrition support and emotional wellbeing for residents.
- Follow individual care plans and promptly report any changes in condition.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to maintain a safe, responsive and caring environment.
- Contribute to a warm, positive atmosphere where relationships matter.
Required profile
- A caring, compassionate and respectful attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, positive outlook and willingness to learn.
- Previous experience is beneficial but not essential; SVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards it.
Required skills
What we offer
- £13.60 per hour on a full‑time or part‑time contract.
- Paid PVG, pension scheme, uniform and 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time).
- Full training, guidance and ongoing development.
