Care Assistant – Residential, Nursing & Dementia Care

About the role
Join our care home in Dartmouth, Devon, delivering high‑quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for up to 79 residents. As a Care Assistant you will provide person‑centred support that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
- Follow individual care plans and promptly report any changes in condition.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to maintain a warm, safe environment.
- Cover alternate weekends as part of the rota.
Required profile
- A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
- NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards it.

What we offer
- Hourly rate of £13.33 (enhanced overtime rates).
- Full‑time and part‑time hours available.
- Paid DBS check, pension scheme and uniform provided.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time basis).
