Care Assistant Waking & Sleeping Nights

About the role

Join an Outstanding‑rated home care provider as a Night Care Assistant, delivering companionship and personalised support during both sleeping and waking night shifts. You will work in clients' homes across Windermere and surrounding areas, helping them feel safe, comfortable and valued throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reassurance, conversation and leisure activities such as card games for a gentleman client, including caring for his cats.
• Prepare light meals, drinks and manage evening/morning routines to ensure a relaxed environment.
• Stay alert during waking night shifts to assist with personal care, repositioning, mobility support and any urgent needs.
• Record accurate care notes and support morning routines for each client.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming home setting and respond promptly to any safety concerns.

Required profile

• Caring, compassionate and dependable with a genuine desire to make a difference.
• Previous experience in home care or similar role.
• Enjoy building meaningful relationships and comfortable around cats.
• Willing to join in card games and engage in friendly conversation.
